Cowden Syndrome: Clinical and Pathological Considerations on Two New Cases
The Cowden syndrome is particularly important in stomatology and odontology, as the identification of the oral lesions facilitates early diagnosis. This, in turn, is of vital importance, as the lesions, particularly of the breast, may often undergo malignant transformation.
This article presents two new cases of Cowden syndrome with special emphasis on the clinical and pathologic features of the oral manifestations; in both cases, the latter led directly to the initial diagnosis.
