Who the Title is aimed at
Bachelor Degrees or Graduate Degrees in Dentistry, who seek to learn about rehabilitation treatments with dental implants.
To take better advantage of the course, it is recommended that participants have at least one year previous professional practicing as General Dentist.
Objectives
Students to obtain this specific university degree will develop theoretical and practical skills to recognize candidates eligible, based on their complexity, for dental implant treatments; and to start performing low-complexity oral rehabilitations.
The training will cover all stages of dental implant treatment: diagnosis, planning, surgery, second surgery, taking impression, prosthetic tests, delivery of the prostheses, maintenance of implants, and diagnosis, prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases.
Teaching methodology
The training will be carried out through master classes, clinical case seminars, workshops with phantoms and pig heads, and case studies of actual patients.
Students will be supervised at all times along internships. They shall be provided with all materials and instruments required for practice accomplishment.
Throughout the course, participant students will treat a patient with dental implants, engaging in all the treatment stages: planning, surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation. In addition, there is the chance for students to perform additional implant placement surgeries, while assisted and supervised by the teachers of the Master Degree on Oral Surgery and Implantology of the Universitat de València, in patients contributed by the students.
In addition, for the duration of the Nobel Biocare Expert course, a license to use the NobelClinician planning software will be provided to each of student.
